Our Mission

WiCS provides support, opportunities, and tools for academic and professional success to underrepresented groups in technology and its related fields. We strive to foster a welcoming community and an ever-expanding network of students, alumni, and professionals. All majors, ages, and identities are welcome to join the Women in Computer Science organization.

What's special about WiCS?

We: Increase the Participation of Minorities.

The tech field can often be daunting for minorities. Here at WiCS, we strive to provide engaging and equal opportunity for everyone who wants to be a part of the tech workforce. We provide guidance and mentorship for those who are often left out of the tech world.

We: Provide a Safe Space.

Regardless of race, sexuality, gender and culture you are more than welcome here! Anyone who wishes to participate, even if not majoring in CIS, can become a member. If you simply wish to drop in on any meeting, please feel free!

We: Offer Opportunities.

WiCS offers exclusive opportunities that range from workshops, to Q and A's, to alumna talks. We help members develop professional skills that prepare them for a bright future. You can also join our task force and be a part of Tech Together; our coveted women run tech event!
